Interstate Motel (Stuart, IA) – It appeared out of nowhere as we were driving across Iowa on I-80, and I didn’t see it in time to exit the Interstate. I was frustrated because exits can be few and far between when you are in rural areas and I just couldn’t let this one slip through my fingers. I turned around at the next exit (almost 5 miles away) and sped back for the shot. Glad I did… it was worth the extra effort. Isn’t it interesting how something so generic can have so much character?
