Ideal Diner (Minneapolis, MN) – The tiny one-story brick building that houses this classic diner is tucked between a couple houses along Central Ave in Northeast Minneapolis. If it weren’t for this fantastic sign you could easily drive by regularly and never notice it at all. But that hasn’t kept the Ideal Diner from gaining a cult-like following among its many loyal patrons. Walking inside is like taking a step back in time and sitting at the counter facing the cooktop only adds to that feeling. The food is what you would expect: not gourmet, not pretentious and priced very reasonably.
