Archer Motel (Des Moines, IA) – I love that they put “A Budget Motel” right on the sign as if it were a tagline. And I can confirm the claim they make about a pool… primarily because I was being watched by every single person at said pool while shooting this. I get the strangest looks from some people when photographing signs. They keep looking at me, then the sign, then back at me, then back up at the sign… sometime asking if there is an animal up there they don’t see.
